Torch Lake in Northern Michigan, 40 miles northeast of Traverse City, is renowned for its turquoise, Caribbean-like waters. As the second largest lake in Michigan, it is a boater and beach lover’s dream with a picturesque, sandy shoreline and shallow sandbar perfect for floating.
